About Me

I am a multidisciplinary researcher with experience in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Human-Robot Interaction, Extended Reality and Game Design. I create autonomous embodied intelligent systems that can socially interact, in real-time, with humans throughout extended periods. My passion is to ideate and lead the development of novel interactive social experiences enabled by state-of-the-art technology.

BSc, MSc and PhD in computer engineering. Researcher within 3 EU projects: MindRaces, LIREC and Emote

Researcher in the NSF Expedition in Socially Assistive Robotics to deploy social robots in people's homes.

Researcher in the Baby Robot Project. Investigating joint attention in HRI and deep learning for dialog generation.

In Industry

Co-founded a board game publisher. Designed and published five board games in four different countries.

Led the software team. Key player in defining the functionalities of the new robot and its software architecture.

Involved in several R&D projects. Co-published articles, supervised interns. My inventions resulted in 2 patents.
